Our Mission:

We believe that food is a right, not a privilege, and that goes for our fur babies too. No pet should have to be surrendered because of lack of resources. We provide assistance by offering food and supply distribution to families in need.  We look forward to working with other groups to assist in vaccinations, spay and neuter, and veterinary care.

February Pet of the Month

 

 

This month's featured pet is Boots. He was rescued after being hit by a car.  A homeless man saw him crossing the street an how fast the cars were traveling so he threw his shopping cart full of everything he owned to try to save his life. Boots was still hit by the car, but because it had slowed significantly, he survived. I never did get the man's name who saved him. Boots has been reunited with his owner. Thanks to our community we were able to get Boots vet checked and groomed.

EVENTS

Weekly Food Share at Mayfair Place Park in Las Vegas. Sundays at 11:30 am.   We will be giving out vegan and vegetarian food to anyone who is hungry. We will also have pet food and be cleaning ears and trimming pets nails. We hope to see you there.

We have our 1st Annual Vegan Chili Cook Off March 16  from 4 to 6 pm at Go Vegan Cafe.  There will be celebrity judges, and awards.  Come as a contestant or a taster. See our event page for more info.

There will be a benefit for Pet Food Not Bombs at Anise Tapas & Grill for their VEGAN grand opening. There will be live entertainment, a raffle, signature drinks, and amazing vegan food. Ticket price includes your choice of sangria or cucumber mojito and one entry for the raffle.  Pre sale raffle tickets available.  See our event page for more details.

Every 2nd Saturday we will have donation based classes at Go Vegan Cafe from 2 to 4 pm.  Classes range from acroyoga, make your own vegan dog food, sprouting, kombucha, homemade vegan dog treats,  vegan turkey, vegan ribs, and fermenting.  We will have raffle and sale items from Barbed Wire Jewelry, Crazy Vegan Balm, and Pet Food Not Bombs.  See our event page for upcoming classes and details.

Lofty Hopes will be having a pigeon and dove adoption event March 2 from noon to 4 pm at Priscilla's Pantry.  You can find Lofty Hopes at loftyhopes.com for more information about how you can help or volunteer.
